چکیده
Thawing permafrost has affected the structural integrity of buried warm pipelines in cold regions and poses an ongoing threat context climate change. Therefore, characterizing variation engineering properties pipeline foundation its effect on mechanical behavior is important. In this paper, ground temperature distributions around a response to differential thaw settlement are investigated using thermal–mechanical sequential coupling simulation, based observational data collected from selected monitoring site along China-Russia crude oil northeastern China. The results indicate that thaw-induced develops quickly with formation expansion bulb first 10 years, then increases slowly when extends weathered granite. Differential will cause significant change deformation stress near interface strong weak zones. When length ratio zones 1, maximum thickness 16 mm approximately 45% allowable X65 steel, remains safe for 30 years. However, potential failure should be considered due continued thawing warming pipe material aging. Forthcoming research topic needed evaluate more carefully regions.

investigating dynamic response of a buried pipeline in sandy soil layer by 1g shaking table test
investigating the parameters influencing the behavior of buried pipelines under dynamic loading is of great importance. in this study the soil structure interaction of the pipelines with the surrounding soil was addressed using shaking table tests. wave propagation along the soil layers was also included in the study. the semi infinite nature of the field was simulated using a laminar shear box...
متن کاملDiscovery of a novel methanogen prevalent in thawing permafrost.
Thawing permafrost promotes microbial degradation of cryo-sequestered and new carbon leading to the biogenic production of methane, creating a positive feedback to climate change. Here we determine microbial community composition along a permafrost thaw gradient in northern Sweden. Partially thawed sites were frequently dominated by a single archaeal phylotype, Candidatus 'Methanoflorens storda...
متن کاملPrediction of Temperature Profile of a Buried Gas Pipeline Through Utilization of Corresponding States Principle
A new analytical equation for prediction of temperature profile of a buried gas pipeline is developed. Utility of this equation is illustrated by its application to corresponding states principle. The resulting equation is tested through prediction of the actual Schorre data. It is shown that the new equation can predict temperature profile more accurately than the others without using any char...
متن کاملA Statistical Method for Sequential Images – Based Process Monitoring
Today, with the growth of technology, monitoring processes by the use of video and satellite sensors have been more expanded, due to their rich and valuable information. Recently, some researchers have used sequential images for image defect detection because a single image is not sufficient for process monitoring. In this paper, by adding the time dimension to the image-based process monitorin...
